Chocolate Avocado “Mousse”

Great as breakfast, a snack or dessert, this treat will keep you satisfied. Consistency and sweetness are key, add-in your low-calorie sweetener of choice until you get it just right. Makes 2 servings

  • Prep: 5 mins
  • Cook: 30 mins


1 avocado (ripe, peeled & pitted)

4 oz. almond milk

1 tbsp coconut butter

2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder

2-3 dates, pitted and smashed

2-4 tbsp Nutrasumma Chocolate Pea Protein

3-4 ice cubes

Sweetener of your choice (optional)

Fresh fruit and nuts (for garnish, optional)


1Blend avocado in blender or food processor until smooth.

2Add all remaining ingredients (except garnishes) and blend until smooth and uniform.

3Cover and chill for 2 hours in refrigerator or 30 minutes in freezer.

4Serve with fresh fruit and chopped nuts garnish.

5 Keep refrigerated and enjoy shortly after chilling (to avoid discolored avocado).

Suggested Remixes and Additions:

  • Without Dates -- Add in your favorite sweetener (like stevia extracts) in small increments until the sweetness is just right
  • Use Other Butters -- Substitute your favorite nut or seed butter for the coconut butter.
  • Use Other Milk -- Use any type of milk or milk substitute in place of the almond milk.
  • Spice it Up -- Add in a pinch of chili powder for a South American twist.
